Five volleyball players left the Dinamo Moscow squad

Natalia Krotkova, Edina Begic, Yaroslava Simonenko, Ekaterina Lyubushkina and Anna Pospelova have left the Dinamo Moscow women's volleyball club, general director Vladimir Zinichev told Match TV.

In the 2021/22 season, Dinamo won the bronze medals of the championship and the Cup of Russia.

— What's the news in the team?

— We cannot announce the full composition of the team yet. We started working on the formation of the squad for the next season quite a long time ago, since the beginning of the year. But the situation in the world of European volleyball has changed over the course of the season. Therefore, some previously resolved issues now require final approvals and an understanding of how all this will work. We are in contact with all potential candidates with whom we have agreed to cooperate next season. But due to the current situation, we can now only partially inform about the changes in the composition.

Yaroslava Simonenko left our team, Natalia Krotkova decided not to renew her contract with Dinamo. Ekaterina Lyubushkina moves to another club. Anna Pospelova also finished her playing for Dinamo. It was a difficult season for her, she went through an injury, we helped her recover, and in the last match Anya showed that she is in good condition. Edina Begic also leaves.

The issue of legionnaires for the next season still needs to be finalized. All the other players who played at Dinamo  last season have agreements with us. As a result, we will inform you later what our team will look like for the next season. We hope that the composition of the team that will be formed will allow us to continue to fight for leadership in Russian volleyball, despite the fact that the rivals have seriously strengthened.

— Is everything unchanged in the coaching staff?

— Yes, the head coach of the team Konstantin Ushakov continues to work. He understands our tasks and is ready to fulfill them. I would like to note that when forming a team, we primarily rely on the wishes of the head coach, as it was before," Zinichev said in an interview with Match TV.
