Today marks the 101st anniversary of volleyball in Russia. Congratulations from the bottom of our hearts on this significant event to all those involved in the best ball game — players, coaches, referees, management staff, volleyball veterans, fans! Good health and bright victories!
The official birthday of Russian volleyball is considered to be July 28, 1923, when an amateur match was held in Moscow on Myasnitskaya Street – between volleyball players from the Higher Art and Technical Workshops (now the Moscow Architectural Institute) and the Moscow School of Cinematography (today the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov).
Now volleyball is one of the most successful sports in Russia in terms of the performance of club and national teams in the international arena.
Happy holidays, friends!
