Beograd, Serbia, November 25, 2013. After suffering an unexpected defeat in the derby with Partizan Vizura, Serbia’s champions Crvena Zvezda BEOGRAD will host on Tuesday Dinamo MOSCOW of Russia for the third round of prelim action in Pool B of the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women.
“We are going to be very motivated for this game with Dinamo and we want to play much better than we have done in the last matches we have played in the national league as well as in the CEV Volleyball Champions League,” says home mentor Ratko Pavlicevic. “We will use this match as an opportunity to lay the foundations for strong performances in the near future.”
Pavlicevic says Dinamo is a very strong team with great physical skills: “They have many members of the Russian national team which is the reigning European champion. We know them well for we played Dinamo also last year and two years ago in the prelims of the CEV Volleyball Champions League and they always were too strong for us.”
“We are always extra motivated when we play a Champions League game and this time even more as we get to play Dinamo MOSCOW” says team captain Julia Milovits. “We suffered a major drop of concentration right when it counted in our match with Partizan Vizura. However, we have been working hard and with Dinamo we want to show our motivation and desire to play with fun and joy, being focused from the start up to the end” she continues.
“This is the first season I play in this competition and I have to say that it is a pleasure” adds opposite Adela Helic. “It is a great experience and we can learn a lot from these matches. If we play as we can maybe we can take some sets and possibly even one point from our opponent if we make it to the tie-break. You never know what can happen in Volleyball. We will also try to please our audience with a good performance” she says.
